About Us

Just a little about us. We both enjoy nature very much. A lot of our time is spent wandering through the timber looking around to find unique trees and pieces of wood that could be turned into beautiful pieces of artwork, sometimes posing as furniture. We often envision the finished project as soon as we spot the tree. The spring is a good time for "shed hunting ", as we often incorporate the shed deer antlers into our furniture. Pat has been in the carpentry business for over twenty years and started building log homes in 1988. In many of the homes he has built he has also added his custom touches, such as carvings, furniture, hall trees, or dreamcatchers made from unusual trees. This is also where he experimented with and discovered the wonderful and unique look of the Livesawn Board On Board Wall Systems. Many of the homeowners have opted to have the interiors of their homes finished with this look. We have our own sawmill where all our lumber is made, including the Board on Board Wall Systems. The Eastern red cedar comes from the midwest where we live most of the time. The Blue-stained Pine comes from Idaho where we have a cabin that is tucked into the side of a mountain. We are also experimenting with other types of wood to possibly expand our variety of Wall Systems.
